A Poem and Song Written Oct. 25th 2018

Verse 1. Out of the wilderness John the Baptist made ready the way of the Lord. Mat. 3:3 He stood in the river raising his hands to share something that God had in store. Mat. 3:1 All Jerusalem all of Judea went out to the Jordan to see, Mat. 3:5 a man strangely dressed with poor hygiene and diet proclaiming the gospel for me. Mat. 3:4
Chorus: Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is here! Mat. 3:2 The place where God dwells isn’t far it is near. Luke. 17:21 Replacing the former embrace His new thoughts. Rom. 12:2
The unchanging gospel is Christ within us. Col. 1:27
Verse 2. As an example, this John the Baptist was filled the Spirit of God. Luke. 1:15 Surrendered his life, permitted God’s nature to reach out to others abroad. Luke. 1:16 Power and wisdom came not from himself but it flowed from the Spirit within. Luke. 1:17 A powerful message that brought transformation to all who were burdened with sin. Mark. 6:27

Verse 3. Coming from Galilee, Jesus of Nazareth, came out to the Jordan for me. Mat. 3:13 By Leaving his home, his family and business, repentance in humility. Mark. 6:3 Out of the water, our Savior forever, looked up to the heavens above. Mat. 3:16 The Spirit descending, the Father proclaiming, “Yes, this is my Son whom I love”. Mat. 3:17

Verse 4. Moved by the spirit this, Jesus of Nazareth, went out to a desolate land. Mat. 4:1 For over a month faced staggering hunger confronted temptation firsthand. Mat. 4:2
Withstanding Satan, by means of the Spirit, brought glory and praise to God’s Name. Mat. 4:10 The people in darkness, have seen a great Light, and He lifted his hands to proclaim. Mat. 4:16-17

Verse 5. Jesus was walking saw, Andrew and Peter, were casting their nets in the sea. Mat. 4:18 The savior called out, repentance acquired, they left their nets and followed Thee. Mat. 4:20 Then they were sent out, one pair at a time to preach with His authority. Mark 6:7 While healing the Sick and, anointing with oil, they preached the same message as He. Mark 6:12

Verse 6. Many years later the same gospel message that Jesus Christ shared should be taught. Heb. 13:7 The indwelling Christ, displayed by the Spirit calls us to embrace a new thought. 2 Cor. 4:2 We have been called, and moreover commissioned, as Jesus ascended above. Mat. 28:18 To dispense the Gospel, the good news that frees us, to anyone seeking his love. Mark 6:15
