The Church is in crisis; hence America is in crisis. The scriptures reveal that the organized church must fall before the Lord’s return. Last year, 1/3rd of Christians in America stopped attending church altogether. Now add what is taking place as Christianity is being tarnished from all sides, we see the inevitable coming. The Church may be starting to fall.
Therefore, I leave you with two things. It is not our job to save the the Church man has created. That organization with all of its doctrines and traditions will not make it to heaven. What will make it are the people who worship in Spirit and Truth as they strive to live surrendered lives to Christ and seek out His holiness. Therefore, remember, we are called to worship and obey. We are also called to pray.
Secondly, know that God not only plans to bring harsh judgement on His Church as they have brazenly taken on so much sin, He is calling out those who truly follow Him to leave those broken systems as they fall. Satan has been given power to take over and destroy the adulterous bride. We are called to purify ourselves and come out of that compromised system.
Remember, not every church is bad, and there are many good pastors who still serve the Lord. But a wave of destruction is coming for the organized church. I fear for how hard it will be for those who’s spiritual identity is in their denominations rather than Christ. Oh, how hard it will be for them when the Church doors close and their denominations are stripped of leadership.
I leave you with my sermon form this past Sunday as well as the response we are given as the Church falls.
1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated from his glory. 2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all the nations have fallen because of the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of sexual immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich from the excessive wealth of her luxury.” 4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive any of her plagues; 5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her offenses.
